Travelling Light to the Winter Sun
As we all recover from the Christmas & New Year celebrations, a few lucky people will already be thinking about a Winter sun holiday. For those of us who indulged too much and are now carrying a few extra pounds then the challenge is to jet away a little lighter! Now here at The Seaside Company, we can do little to help weight loss but can offer two words about travelling lighter - hammas (or fouta) towels and kaftans. Both of these items are easy to pack, lightweight & yet are essential style accessories. The versatile cotton hammas towels come in a variety of colours and designs and are really practical when lounging around the pool or at the beach. We are now stocking some gorgeous silk and cotton kaftans that look so good that they can be used as a cover-up during the day or as an elegant top in the evening. Both accessories add little to your baggage weight but oodles to your style credibility!
Closer to home, a recent press release from Haven Holidays has stated that 'With so many families opting to stay in the UK in preference to overseas travel we've noticed a real nostalgia for seaside breaks. Building sandcastles on the beach, skimming stones in the sea, fish and chips, crab-fishing, games of beach cricket and jumping over waves with your trousers rolled up.' Now that sounds like fun!
